Vehicle Service

We offer a set price service with none of those hidden fee’s like, environment charge, consumable charge, sundries charge and we don’t charge you extra for using brake cleaner, brake fluid, screen wash, coolant, Spray grease or copper grease. We do use all these products listed but we won’t charge you extra for them.
With our set prices it’s clear and simple to see without the hidden fees so there is no surprise when you come to collect your vehicle.
We believe this is the best way to keep you on the road and happy. Below is a list of our service prices.

The way we do your service

We get to what we call the ‘half way stage’ At this point we have done all our checks so we know all about the condition of the vehicle.
If we are to find any problems that need attention we call you first to inform you to go through the options available.
Only once you have decided what work you would like carried out do we do it.

Here at THE GARAGE ON THE HILL we won’t do any extra work without your say so and knowledge.
If we do not contact you until the job is finished you vehicle is all serviceable with no immediate problems this keeps you in the loop at all times so no surprises at the end of the job.

We believe this is the best way to offer our service to you, it is the same way Alan started in the 1980’s and the same attitude we continue to use now and in the future.

If you have the M.O.T and service together on the same day we discount our labour rate!!!

For prices below we allow £50 for oil which is an average cost. This varies from vehicle to vehicle.

MAJOR SERVICE

£235.00 + OIL (£50) + VAT (20%) = APPROXIMATLEY £330

£205.00 + OIL (£50) + VAT (20%) + MOT(£42) = APPROXIMATLEY £350 (INCLUDING MOT)

STANDARD SERVICE

£165.00 + OIL (£50) + VAT (20%) = APPROXIMATLEY £260

£142.50 + OIL (£50) + VAT (20%) + MOT(£42) = APPROXIMATLEY £280 (INCLUDING MOT)

INTERIM SERVICE

£117.50 + OIL (£50) + VAT (20%) = APPROXIMATLEY £205

£95.00 + OIL (£50) + VAT (20%) + MOT (£42) = APPROXIMATLEY £220 (INCLUDING MOT)

Most vehicles are covered by our fixed price servicing, you will be notified prior to your service or when booking in if your vehicle is not covered. For vehicles with 5 or more cylinders add approximately £20.
